Carbon laser peel for pores, oil and dull skin
The carbon laser peel, often called the Hollywood Peel, is a short laser facial for oily, congested or tired-looking skin. It is not a chemical peel. There is no acid and no peeling afterwards, which is why people book it the week of an event.

How it works
A thin layer of liquid carbon is painted on and left to settle into the pores. We then pass a Q-Switch Nd:YAG laser over it. The carbon absorbs the laser energy and breaks apart, taking surface debris and excess oil with it. The same energy gently warms the deeper skin, which encourages collagen over a course of sessions.
What a course of treatment looks like
You will see a brighter, smoother surface after one session. For pore size, oil control and fine lines, a course of four to six sessions two to four weeks apart gives a more lasting change.
Is it right for you?
Usually a good fit
- Oily skin and enlarged pores
- Dull, congested skin and blackheads
- Mild breakouts and uneven tone
- A no-downtime refresh before an event
We may advise against it if you have
- A recent sunburn or tan
- Isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past six months
- Active cold sores or broken skin on the face
- Pregnancy
This is general information. Your consultation covers your own health history before anything is booked.
Before and after your appointment
- 1Arrive without makeup if you can. We cleanse the skin either way.
- 2The treatment feels warm and prickly, with a snapping sound as the carbon breaks up.
- 3Expect mild pinkness for an hour or so. Makeup is fine the same day.
- 4Use SPF daily and hold off on strong exfoliants for a few days.
