The Best Facial Treatment for Wrinkles & Acne Scars In Coquitlam BC

Microdermabrasion is a traditional method of resurfacing the superficial layer of skin to help exfoliate dead skin cells. The device also allows for the infusion of hydrating agents and topical skincare elements at the same time as the resurfacing.  This hydrating deep facial leaves your skin glowing and soft!  Many proponents of regular medical skincare consider dermabrasion to be a must for skin care maintenance.

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure used to exfoliate and remove the superficial layer of dry, dead skin cells in order to achieve a clearer complexion. It is often performed prior to facials, peels, and laser skin treatments in order to produce the best possible results with those procedures. It is a non-surgical treatment with no downtime that gently exfoliates dead surface layers of the skin to help improve the appearance of:

  • Acne
  • Acne Pigmentation
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Age spots
  • Fine lines
  • Dull rough-looking skin
  • Clogged pores and blackheads

We welcome microdermabrasion patients who live in Coquitlam and all surrounding areas like Burnaby, Surrey, MapleRidge, Pitt Meadows, Langley, New Westminister, Vancouver, etc in British Columbia. Give us a call at (604)773-6401 to make your appointment at BC Medical Spa and learn more about the benefits of microdermabrasion!

The Benefits of Microdermabrasion

  • Swift recovery
  • Boosts self-confidence
  • Helps reduce sun damage
  • Helps reverse acne scarring
  • Helps combat the signs of aging
  • Improves fine lines and wrinkles
  • Gentle and non-invasive treatment
  • Creates more youthful-looking skin overall
  • Helps stimulate the regrowth of collagen and elastin
  • Safe for all skin types and tones, even those with allergies

After A Microdermabrasion, You Can Expect

Softer, smoother skin

Microdermabrasion evens out skin texture, improve skin tone, and diminishes pore size, revealing skin that is rejuvenated and youthful.

Minimized fine lines

Microdermabrasion retexturizes fine lines to reduce their appearance and reveal more youthful, smooth skin.

Enhanced circulation and lymph flow

Aging skin often experiences a lack of circulation, but microdermabrasion increases circulation for more youthful skin.

Revived sense of confidence

With more youthful and glowing skin, you’ll feel more confident and feel like the best version of yourself!

Removal of dead skin cells

As a form of physical exfoliation, microdermabrasion removes dead skin cells and dry, dehydrated skin.

Improvement in acne scars

Because microdermabrasion removes dead skin and promotes the growth of new skin, it also improves acne scars by creating new healthy skin cells.

The Microdermabrasion Procedure

During the microdermabrasion procedure, which is usually performed by an aesthetician, a handheld device is used to transmit tiny crystal particles across the targeted treatment area. The crystals and dead skin are then suctioned away with a vacuum tool, revealing fresh underlying skin. A treatment session can last from 5 to 60 minutes. The results of a single microdermabrasion treatment are temporary. For continued improvement, treatment should be repeated every 2 to 4 weeks.

What do I need to know About Microdermabrasion?

Before

  • Free Consultations are available at BC Medical Spa in Coquitlam Center
  • One or more treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired result
  • Do not wax 2-3 days prior to treatment
  • No downtime required.
  • Discontinue active ingredient products like Retin A and/or Retinol for 1 week

After

The Cost of Microdermabrasion

The cost for microdermabrasion varies based on the complexity of the work performed, and on whether any additional skincare treatments are employed in tandems, such as the application of antioxidant serums, or dermal fillers. In general, patients will need around 6-8 sessions to see comprehensive improvement in their skin. We welcome microdermabrasion patients who live in Coquitlam and all surrounding areas like Burnaby, Surrey, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Langley, New Westminister, Vancouver, etc in British Columbia.

FAQ

How does microdermabrasion work?

Microdermabrasion works on flaws at the surface level, treating only the outermost layer of skin. Tiny exfoliating crystals are blown onto the skin to gently remove the outer layer. The Microderm vacuum removes the crystals and dead skin cells leaving the newer, younger skin cells to be revealed.

Am I a candidate for microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a safe facial treatment, non-invasive procedure that’s beneficial for all different skin types and conditions. Anyone who is unhappy with their skin texture or has trouble areas like sun damage or acne scarring are perfect candidates for microdermabrasion.

Is microdermabrasion painful?

Microdermabrasion should not be confused with dermabrasion, which is an invasive surgical procedure typically performed by dermatologists or plastic surgeons under local or general anesthesia. Microdermabrasion is non-invasive and requires no numbing gels or medicines.

The treated area will be pink and feel dry and tight for about 24 hours. The feeling is similar to sunburn or windburn. You can use a moisturizer, but some types of makeup shouldn’t be applied until 24 hours after the procedure. Your aesthetician will advise you on the best skin care products.

How many treatments will I need?

Many clients see improvements in the tone, texture, and color of treated areas after just one treatment. Since skin typically regenerates at approximately 30-day intervals, many people choose to start with weekly treatments for 3 sessions to clear up the skin, and then switch to a monthly maintenance regimen for long-lasting results.

What is the recovery like after microdermabrasion?

There is no downtime with a microdermabrasion treatment. You can walk out of our office and return to work or resume your normal activities. Your skin will be sensitive, but that’s the extent of the recovery. Within 24 hours, the sensitivity usually dissipates.

What will my recovery entail?

With microdermabrasion, there is virtually no downtime whatsoever. You will be able to return to your day’s activities immediately after your session. It is even safe to use makeup right away. As always, We caution you to use sunblock when exposed to the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, as this will help preserve the best results from your microdermabrasion treatment for the long-term.

Microblading Before and After

Microblading Aftercare

The first day (dry, normal skin)

For the first 4 hours every 30 minutes, you must wipe with a sterile gauze pad. After the first 4 hours, you must then rinse the eyebrows with warm water and mild soap (baby soap), without stretching the skin. When you rinse the skin it must be done in a gentle circular motion on the eyebrows until the skin feels clean.

First day for (oily skin)

For the first 4 hours every 30 minutes, you must wipe with a sterile gauze pad. After the first 4 hours, you must then rinse the eyebrows with warm water and mild soap (baby soap), without stretching the skin. You will not apply any ointment until day 2. Rinsing and application are repeated only once a day at night time for the next 7-10 days until scabbing has occurred. Please note when applying ointment eyebrows should not look greasy, the purpose of the ointment is so the skin is hydrated.

  • You’ll leave the office with light scarring, which usually heals completely within one week.
  • You have to cover your brows with an antibacterial ointment for the first 24 hours to ensure you remain infection-free.
  • You shouldn’t get your micro bladed eyebrows wet for that first week, either.
  • You have to allow the pigment to settle.
  • If you plan on exercise that may result in sweating, cover your brows with ointment for the whole first week.
  • Don’t pick at the little scars that form in your brows; allow them to naturally fall away.
  • Avoid makeup and lotions with glycolic acid; they may cause the pigments to fade.

Other than that, you can return to your normal, everyday life. Our specialists can answer your questions about eyebrow microblading. But after your eyebrow procedure, your proud selfies can show off the permanent makeup eyebrows results.

Microblading treatment procedure

FAQ

What Is Microblading or ‘The Eyebrow Tattoo’?

Microblading is a form of permanent makeup that uses a handheld blade and cosmetic pigment to simulate the appearance of natural eyebrow hair. The pigment is placed in the dermal layer of the skin as delicate strokes of hair. A touch up is needed 6 weeks to 3 months after the first appointment. The hair strokes can last anywhere from 1-3 years depending on your skin type and your homecare regimen.

Is Microblading Right For Me?

Microblading is a perfect treatment for anyone looking for a permanent solution to sparse brows. That said, microblading your eyebrows is a commitment and requires diligent pre- and post-care instructions to see the best results.

How long does it last?

Your microbladed brows will last for as long as you maintain them. Usually, about 12-18 months before a touch up is required.

How long does it take?

The procedure takes roughly about 3 hours, depending on how you want your brows to be completed. Please allow a solid 3 and a half-hour window for your appointment. We likely won’t need that much time, but we like to take all the time a client might need.

How often do I need a touch-up?

Touch-ups are recommended every 6 months, to keep the color fresh and the strokes crisp. Some people can go longer before getting a touch-up, so it all depends on you.

Does it hurt?

Some people say that they do not feel anything and all, and some people say there is some discomfort associated with the procedure. A topical anesthetic is used to numb the area and then reapplied as needed.

What should I do after the procedure?

Follow the aftercare instructions given to you. You will also receive an aftercare kit after the treatment is complete.

Do I need to take time off from work?

No. There’s no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour after. Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from your activities of daily living.

How long does it take to heal?

Healing time varies from person to person. Usually, it takes about a week to ten days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off (just like a tattoo). Your skin will be considered healed after that happens. Then, the pigment takes some time to settle into the skin. A good month should pass before we consider the process complete.

What’s the process like?

Microblading is a two-step treatment, consisting of an initial procedure and then a perfecting touch-up after 4 to 6 weeks. After we take your before photo, we shape your eyebrows and decide on the color. Shortly after that, a topical anesthetic will be administered to ensure comfort. Once you’re numb, the procedure begins. During healing, it’s normal to experience some pigment loss; this is why we have the touch up in place. The process is considered to be complete 4 weeks after the first touch up.

What can’t I do after the procedure?

The number one thing we cannot stress enough is please DO NOT TOUCH your microbladed brows for at least 7 to 10 days! Touching your brows interrupts the healing process and you will be left with a less than desirable result once your brows have healed. You are also advised to keep the skin clean and dry—that means no swimming, sweating, or otherwise getting the area wet; no tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking or peeling the tattoo. You can still wash your hair and face and once they’re healed up, you treat them as your own.

What kind of pigments are used?

All the colors are iron-oxide based and have been approved. A wide range of colors is available so that we can help you choose what works best for your facial and hair color.

What if I don’t like it?

There are several things we can do. Your eyebrows can be modified to a point. We will work with you until you are satisfied with your results.  Additional charges may apply, however, there will be no refunds on services already provided as materials were already used, and time set aside for our technicians.

  • People who are extremely prone to thin skin, unhealed keloids, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or Rosacea should not make use of this procedure, because eyebrows microblading punctures the skin. However, an alternative technique can be used, which is a powder method.
  • Individuals who have used Botox or fillers in the brow area. It is recommended to get microblading eyebrows first. Another option would be to wait for 4 weeks after the botox procedure.
  • People who are in the process of chemotherapy.
  • Patients with any kind of skin condition near eyebrows: shingles, rashes, and/or eczema are some of them.
  • If you have oily skin. However, patients with less oily skin can make use of other methods that are offered by Manhattan micro-blading eyebrows specialists.
  • People under the age of 18
  • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who have dark pre-existing eyebrow tattoos: microblading eyebrows professionals need to assess the previous eyebrow tattoo with no makeup on.

Get healthy teeth and a perfect Hollywood smile

Teeth stains are all but inevitable and it is often caused by the aging process, food, wine, or smoking, most people experience tooth discoloration at some point. Hopefully, you can take simple steps to prevent stains and you can erase them with professional teeth whitening at BC Medical Spa.

Professional teeth whitening is the most commonly performed cosmetic dentistry procedure in the country, and for very good reasons: it is much more effective, safer, more comfortable, and less aggravating than whitening with a store-bought kit. It involves bleaching your teeth to make them lighter. It can’t make your teeth brilliant white, but it can lighten the existing color by several shades.

The Laser Teeth Whitening Can Be Utilized For:

  • Cavity Preparation
  • Decay Removal
  • Stay away from being ‘numbed’
  • Stay away from the pain and shot
  • Normal dentistry for dentin and enamel
  • General soft tissue procedures
  • Reshape ‘gummy’ smiles

The Cost of Laser Teeth Whitening

The traditional myth has been that lasers are worth the cost if you want the speed. But the speed isn’t all that speedy. Knowing exactly how much laser teeth whitening costs is no easy task. That’s because it is purportedly the fastest teeth whitening procedure on the market, but not even that tells the full story. That initial laser session doesn’t take into account two other costs: the cost of time and maintenance. To know about the cost based on your conditions, please call us at 604-773-6401.

FAQs

What is Teeth Whitening?

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic treatment done to improve the appearance of teeth. Teeth are whitened to remove the effects of coffee, cigarettes, and other substances that permanently stain or discolor teeth. Medications such as antibiotics like tetracycline may discolor teeth.

Can yellow teeth be whitened?

Of course. Tooth discoloration can be treated with professional cleanings, bleaching products, and cosmetic services such as porcelain veneers and dental bonding.

Is teeth whitening permanent?

Teeth whitening isn’t permanent. It can last from a few months to up to 3 years – it varies from person to person. The whitening effect won’t last as long if you smoke or drink pigmented substances such as red wine, tea, or coffee, which can all stain your teeth.

Will teeth whitening work on false teeth?

Teeth whitening doesn’t work on dentures, crowns, fillings, or veneers.

What are the risks of teeth whitening?

No matter what treatment you use, there’s a chance your gums will be sensitive to the chemicals used in teeth whitening, particularly if you already have sensitive teeth.

What results can be expected?

It depends on each individual and the extent of discoloration, generally from 5-14 shades lighter can be achieved.  The more stained your teeth are, the more dramatic the results will be.

Should teeth whitening be done by a Dentist?

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure that is non-dental.  The products we use are gentler than and just as effective as those used by the dentist.

Does Teeth Whitening Hurt?

You may feel a slight tingling, bubbling, or effervescence against your teeth for the first few minutes during your treatment. This is normal and is the sign that the gel is producing the oxygen that does the work of bleaching. It is very uncommon for even sensitive teeth to experience any discomfort from this process.

Is the Teeth Whitening Treatment Safe?

Yes, It is. The research has shown that Cosmetic Teeth Whitening is safe. Many dentists and dental researchers consider this process to be the safest dental or cosmetic procedure available. We recommend that any women that are pregnant or breastfeeding do not have this procedure done.

How Long Will My Teeth Stay White?

It depends greatly on your lifestyle and habits, but in general, your teeth will remain white for one to two years. If you drink a lot of coffee, tea, dark soda, or red wine, or especially if you smoke, the results will not last as long, and you may have to repeat the process more often.

How Will the Small White Spots on My Teeth Look Before/ After Bleaching?

These areas on your teeth are decalcified, which is very common. The areas will respond and whiten more rapidly. However, the rest of the tooth will eventually catch up and become more uniform as you continue to treat.

Advanced Treatments for Unwanted Tattoos in Coquitlam BC

There are many reasons why you may want to erase unwanted ink, whether it has become unattractive, no longer expresses you, or is associated with painful memories. The first thing you need to know is that all tattoo laser removal works on the same principle. The laser targets the tattoo ink pigments using specific light wavelengths to break down the ink into small enough particles to be absorbed by the body.

With advances in medical technology, you no longer have to spend the rest of your life regretting and hiding your inked skin. Laser tattoo removal is a cosmetic treatment that uses targeted laser energy to break up the pigmentation of your tattoo. The certified dermatology team at BC Medical Spa Coquitlam Clinic is equipped with picosecond laser technology that breaks up the ink under your skin quickly and safely.

Free Consultation

call us today for a consultation or book online

What is Picosecond Laser (ND-YAG)

ND-YAG laser also known as Q-Switch or Picosecond laser is a very safe laser for darker skin types and has a wavelength of 532nm, 1064nm, 1320nm. Uses for this laser include tattoo removal, age and sun spots, birthmarks, melasma, tattooed eyebrows, nevus, nevus of Ota, and carbon therapy. This hands-on training program will cover how Nd-Yag, Picosecond, Q-Switch lasers work including the physics of this laser.

An overview of the anatomy and physiology of skin parameters, photo facial, vascular and pigmented lesions, and tattoo removal will be an important part of the course. The lectures will include lasers mediated skin tightening and resurfacing, acne treatment, pigmentation, and vascular lesions removal, skin typing, and operational and treatment safety measures.

How It Works

  • Before the procedure, a numbing agent is applied to the target area.
  • During the treatment, it delivers energy with an extremely precise, high-power laser in extremely short pulses to target ink particles with great impact.
  • These pulses shatter the tattoo ink into minuscule particles. Following the treatment, most of the ink particles are removed by the body.

Laser Tattoo Removal Aftercare

After a laser tattoo removal session, will you have to deal with scarring or other skin damage? No, scarring is almost never a problem. In fact, it’s easy to prevent unsightly tattoo removal scars with a bit of basic aftercare. To prevent scarring and unnecessary discomfort, our doctors at BC Medical Spa Coquitlam BC have performed countless treatments using this technology, guaranteeing you the quality of care that comes with a wealth of experience.

After your treatment session, you should:

  • Wait 4 to 6 weeks for your skin to heal before your next appointment
  • Avoid shaving
  • Wear sunscreen
  • Moisturize daily

Who Is The Ideal Candidate?

Most people are excellent candidates for laser tattoo removal with it. Also, the treatment is appropriate for nearly every area of the body, including the neck, face, arms, and lower back.

It may be right for you if your tattoos:

  • Contain one or more colors
  • Are made with any color ink including blue and green
  • Did not fade completely with other tattoo removal treatments

How Much Does It Cost?

Because there are so many different factors to consider, the only way to know the exact cost of getting a tattoo removed is to schedule a consultation with one of the doctors. They’ll give you an accurate cost estimate based on the size, color, and complexity of the design.

Be A Certified Laser ND-YAG Technician

Do you like to be a Laser Technician? You can easily get the laser ND-Yag certification at BC Medical Spa. It is used for skin rejuvenation, skin tightening & wrinkle reduction, skin pigmentation removal, and tattoo removal. This intensive hands-on training program will cover how lasers and ND-Yag work. FAQs

How many treatments will I need?

You’ll need several treatments before you’ll notice a significant difference. The number of treatments you’ll need depends on the amount and type of ink used and how deeply it sits. Keep in mind it takes three-to-six weeks between treatments for your body to absorb the pigment residue.

How do I prepare for a laser tattoo removal treatment?

Prior to a laser tattoo removal treatment, you need to avoid sun exposure for four weeks beforehand. You may be instructed to discontinue taking aspirin and ibuprofen, since they may cause you to bruise after your treatment.

How do I remove my unwanted tattoo?

To ensure the complete removal, regardless of the colors involved. The length and amount of treatments required for tattoo removal will vary based on the size and design of the tattoo being removed.

Will my tattoo be removed completely?

Though there are many factors involved like the depth, density, and types of colors are probably the biggest determining factors. After each treatment, we fragment a little bit more ink and a little deeper into your skin, blistering and scabbing often follows for a week or two. We see some tattoos disappear within 2-3 treatments, as well as in some cases seeing tattoos requiring 8-10 or more treatments for complete removal.

What about lightening an existing tattoo?

Many tattoo artists encourage customers to receive a minimum number of laser treatments to lighten an existing tattoo before covering it with a new one. This will dramatically reduce the chances of the old tattoo appearing through the new one over time. In most cases, a minimum of 2-4 treatments is all that’s required to lighten an existing tattoo.

Is laser tattoo removal painful?

During the treatment, you will likely experience a feeling that resembles a rubber band snapping against your skin. You may also feel a warm sensation in the treatment area. Many patients find the treatment tolerable, though we can also numb the area for optimal comfort. Our team will do everything they can to make your laser tattoo removal session more comfortable.

At BC Medical Spa our approach is simple… It’s all about you!

Laser hair removal is a very successful method of long-term hair reduction. It is a safe method used by thousands of people to remove slow unwanted hair growth. It is important to understand the benefits and downsides of using laser hair removal.

How it works:

Laser hair removal functions by heating the hair follicles to stop new hairs from growing. It is the process of removing unwanted hair by exposing the hair follicle to pulses of laser light.  The laser’s light uses heat to destroy the hair follicle and its blood supply, while at the same time protecting the surrounding tissue.  Laser devices have evolved significantly in the past several years.

Pre-treatment:

– Shave the area being treated closely the day before your appointment. Continue to use shaving as your only method of hair removal in the area being treated during your laser hair removal treatment series

– Avoid the sun!

– On the day of the appointment, avoid perfumes, colognes, lotions, deodorants, and any other body products on the area being treated

– You may choose to take Tylenol or Advil 30 mins before your appointment

Post-treatment Care

  •         Avoid sun exposure for at least a few days after treatment. This includes tanning beds.
  •         Apply Aloe vera or cool towels on the skin to soothe tingling or irritation.
  •         Saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs should be avoided for 24-48 hours after treatment.
  •         No additional laser treatment or chemical peels should be conducted on the treated skin for at least one week.
  •         Make sure you wear sunscreen with a minimum SPF 30.
  •         Once the skin is no longer sensitive, mild exfoliation can be done to prevent ingrown hairs.

Advantages of laser hair removal:

  •         Clearer, smoother skin
  •         Permanent hair reduction
  •         Minimal Side Effects
  •         Cost-Effective
  •         No Waiting For Hair Growth
  •         No Ingrown Hairs
  •         Reduces ingrown hairs and less irritation of the skin
  •         Speed. Each pulse of the laser takes a fraction of a second and can treat many hairs at the same time.

FAQ:

How effective is laser hair removal:

The number of treatments required for long-term benefits and effectiveness depends on the area being treated, your hair density, and the hair’s growth cycle. It also depends on the amount of hair, hair color, your genetic background and how closely you follow the schedule set by your technician.

Does laser hair removal grow back?

If anyone has ever told you that Laser Hair Removal is permanent they are lying to you! Due to hormones and aging, not every hair can be destroyed.

How many laser hair removal treatments will I need?

It takes an average of 6 treatments. With each treatment, a good percentage of hair will reduce, or become finer in texture. Also, due to hormones and aging, not every hair can be destroyed.  Generally, after 6 sessions, the treated area should see about 50% reduction in hair *some exclusions apply. Sessions are generally 4 to 5 weeks apart depending on the area to be treated.

What is the best type of laser hair removal for me:

Historically, laser hair removal could only be safely and effectively performed on individuals with lighter skin and darker hair. This is no longer the case. With the exception of very light or gray hair, most complexions can be successfully treated with the appropriate laser.

Different devices enable us to customize each treatment to the individual’s needs. During your consultation, we will evaluate your complexion and discuss which laser we recommend for you and why.

Is laser hair removal costly?

Laser hair removal may seem expensive initially. However, ultimately it is more cost-effective than other conventional hair removal methods. Razors and waxing add up, the hair always grows back. You may suffer from ingrown hair or razor burn. You can think of laser hair removal as a beauty investment.

Is Laser Hair Removal Safe?

Laser hair removal is safe and well-tolerated by most people. However, there are risks involved, such as minor burns or temporary pigmentation. The risks of laser treatments are significantly decreased when care is provided by trained professionals at BC Medical Spa.

Mommy Makeover is a non-surgical body package that resolves the post-pregnancy problem on the abdomen to help regain yourself, bringing the clock back. It is natural to have sagging abdomen problems after childbirth. The skin ages dramatically after pregnancy and the skin loses elasticity, eventually becoming severely loose and saggy. Also during pregnancy, the walls of the abdomen expand and lose volume rapidly. This condition causes the skin to scar and sag while the lower area severely droops. These worries do not disappear by themselves over time due to busy work and lifestyle. Unfortunately, with a long time of negligence, there are cases where it can get worse. That is why ‘Mommy Makeover’ is growing in demand for women with post-pregnancy or weight loss. Therefore, it is important to have a professional consultation and a physical examination that carefully considers a patient’s concern.

What does this procedure come with?

Mommy Makeover package includes cold body sculpting, cavitation, lipo-laser and radiofrequency. Through using heat and cold medical technology we have been successful in accelerating our patients desired outcomes. After thorough consideration of the patient’s body conditions, we provide personal recommendations. At BC Medical Spa, we know that in order to maximize your results we have to carefully examine your body condition before you begin treatment. We offer no-cost consultations that can be scheduled by calling 604-773-6401 or emailing us at info@bcmedicalspa.com

Minimize the effects of wrinkles and dried-out skin

The benefits of micro-needling fractional RF include smaller pores, reduced secretion of skin oils (seborrhea), minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smoothing of scars, improved absorption of skincare products and reduced occurrence of acne.

  • Minimize Pore Size

  • Alleviate Wrinkles & Fine Lines

  • Tighten Skin

  • Improve Skin Tone & Texture

  • Immediate Results

  • Non-Surgical

What is involved in the treatment?

The treatment itself consists of placing a hand-piece against the surface of the skin and activating radiofrequency energy. The hand-piece consists of a multiple needle head that is accurately applied within a specified depth.

As each fine needle punctures the skin, it creates a channel that triggers the body to produce new collagen, elastic and hyaluronic acid in the papillary dermis. In addition, new capillaries are formed. This, in effect, creates a solid foundation of new dermal volume.

vivace pore reduction treatment

What does it feel like?

With a numbed face, the treatment feels like little more than light pressure to the face, with an occasional, light sparking feeling.

Does it hurt?

Our Personalized Compounded Numbing Cream, the best numbing cream available, is applied 30 to 45 minutes prior to the treatment to ensure a comfortable patient experience throughout the treatment. Many testimonials from patients say they found the treatment to be in a range of comfortable to virtually pain-free.

How do I determine the right treatment for me?

Seek a patient experience that has been designed to be the most comfortable experience with the greatest results. Be clear that the device used is only part of the process, the right serums and aftercare procedures you take will enhance your results.

——————————————————————————

Here are additional questions clients like you have asked.

What is RF?

Radiofrequency provides heat that stimulates collagen production which has been found to lead to tighter, younger-looking skin. Combined with state-of-the-art microneedling, patients have experienced optimal results.

How many treatments do I need?

We recommend that you schedule at least three treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart, to provide the experience patients are looking for. Single treatment protocols are available depending on the patient’s desired results.

How long does it take?

The actual treatment takes about 45 minutes, with an additional 30 to 45 minutes needed for numbing.

When can I wear makeup?

Most patients go out hours after the treatment with no makeup at all. To maximize the treatment during the first four to six hours, use our after-care regime provided. We recommend at least 5-7 days before you can fully wear makeup.

How do I get the maximum result from my treatment?

Follow the recommended after-care protocols once you get home, that will be provided by your technician. Couple this with abstinence from the sun and three to five days off from working out, and you are well on your way to maximizing its effect. Multiple treatments are recommended for optimal results.

How long do the results last?

Everyone is different, but the collagen and elastin you make is your own and continues accelerated production over the next six months as results improve over time.

What is my recovery time?

Specialists may choose to supplement the treatment with serums and recovery protocols that create optimal results and faster recovery. Typically a patient’s normal recovery time is 5-7 days. After that time period, our clients are ready for a night out, with very little to no indication of any treatment that day.

What is microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment that’s used to fill out brows and create the best brow shape for every face. The treatment is applied using a handheld tool with 8-12 needles at the end. Those needles delicately scratch the surface of the skin with featherweight strokes, implanting a medical grade pigment in the epidermis layer of the skin. That creates the look of fine, natural, and realistic hairs that fill out the brow and create bespoke brow shapes to meet the demands of every client.

A common misconception is that microblading is just another term for an eyebrow tattoo. It’s not. An eyebrow tattoo is performed using an electric tool that permeates deeper into the skin to create permanent brows. Microblading implants pigment onto the surface layer of the skin so the color will fade, typically over 12-18 months. This is a big plus for clients who are anxious about getting a permanent brow, and for microblading practitioners who can treat their clients time and time again.

Our fat cells respond more sensitive to cold than our skin, muscles, or nerves do. Based on this, a research team at Harvard Medical School designed cryolipolysis, a method of fat reduction that freeze-kills only the fat cells.

The system freezes fat cells to crystallize them and eventually causes apoptosis, and the dissolved fat is disposed of through the lymph system. This method selectively targets only the fat cells with its special-attuned cooling energy and does not damage other tissues such as the skin, muscles, or nerves. There is a little risk of complications, and the procedure is effective against deposited fat tissues or cellulite, which are difficult to reduce through exercise or diet control alone.

Cold body sculpting is a nonsurgical treatment: it does not require incisions or injections. An applicator delivers the cooling energy to the desired area, and the procedure is complete. As there is almost no pain involved, anesthesia is unnecessary—all you have to do is sit back or lie down. Once-a-month treatment is all it takes to reduce fat, and it is a great procedure for individuals who live a busy lifestyle.

Cold Body Sculpting Areas to Treat:
  • Lower/ Upper Abdomen
  • Double chin
  • Arms and underarms
  • Waist, love handles, bra lines
  • Knee and calves
  • Outer/Inner thighs

For naturally glowing skin.

Similar to any other chemical peel application, we cleanse the skin and apply the formula. Strength is generally based on the severity of your acne or pigmentation. Many of our facials and peels also use a combination of salicylic acid and glycolic acid. These acids main purpose is the treatment of acne by cleansing the skin, resurfacing acne bumps & blemishes, and penetrating deep into the skin to kill harmful bacteria and other irritants that can cause acne. There are many other benefits that come with having a peel done such as treatment for pigmentation and skin discoloration, age and sun spots, and glowing skin!

How many sessions will I need?

Depending on the severity of your skin condition and desired results, the amount of sessions can be discussed during your consultation. Normally patients will receive 2-3 sessions for maximum results.

The duration of the sessions:

Each chemical peel session can be completed in under an hour. However, if you are combining other treatments with your chemical peel such as microdermabrasion or facial contouring, then your appointment will be extended.
